Kyle Robert – Baby Naming Story

Throughout my entire pregnancy, my husband and I could’ not decide on any names for boys. We had plenty of ideas for girls but just couldn’t settle on a boy’s name.  As we did not know the sex of our baby, it was important for us to at least have some ideas. In the running were Dylan, which I thought my husband would be very much for as he is a huge Bob Dylan fan, but he hated that name.  We also thought about Zachery and Bryce.  The name Kyle had come up once but he sort of shrugged it off. I really liked the name but sort of put it on the back burner as I didn’t feel he would go for it.

So the day came when our baby was born and of course, he was a boy since we had not decided on a name.  We were getting ready to leave the hospital still with no name, and I said to my husband, “what about Kyle Robert”?  Well, since Robert was my husband’s middle name he was all for it.  That is how he was named.  In hindsight, I think had I suggested Robert with any of the other names, he probably would have agreed to any of them as well.
